Installation and activation on Mac

Check your macOS version
Click the Apple menu → About This Mac. Here you can see your macOS version.

Remove the old Office version
Move Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote to the Trash.

Download the version that matches your macOS
Select and download the version below that is compatible with your Mac:
- macOS Monterey (version 12): Download here
- macOS Ventura (version 13): Download here
- macOS version 14+ (Sonoma, Sequoia, Tahoe): Download here
Install Office, but do not open the applications yet.

Run the activation tool
IMPORTANT: DO NOT open Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook or OneNote before running the activation tool.
Download and run the activation tool. The license is already included.
Once the tool has finished, you can open the Office applications.
Only if Office is not activated
This is not part of the normal installation. Only use this if Office does not activate or the applications show that there is no valid license.
1. Download and run the reset tool.
2. Then run the activation tool again.
